About This Product

■Torque set

Compared to the regular Torx shape, the Torx Plus shape is rounded and the six sides that transmit torque from the tool to the screw are enlarged. This extends the service life of both the screw and the tool, as the forces applied to the screw during operation are spread over a larger contact area and higher torques can be transmitted. "Centerlock" cutting represents a typical application for Torx Plus geometries. The high heat that a carbide cutting tool (carbide) brings to the tip "burns" the locking screw, necessitating a geometry that significantly increases the torque when loosening the screw. Therefore, the torque-stabilized Torx Plus geometry prevents screw damage and reduces costly equipment downtime.
