97% of the water on Earth is seawater. In other words, only 3% is fresh water. However, global water shortages are becoming a major problem in the future. Therefore, there is a need to resolve water shortages through seawater desalination. Currently, the membrane method (RO membrane method) is the mainstream method for seawater desalination, but it can only desalinate max. 50%.
