ACR1252U is an NFC Forum certified reader developed based on 13.56MHz contactless (RFID) technology. Equipped with a secure access module (SAM) slot that can perform key diversification and mutual authentication functions, the ACR1252U provides a high level of security for contactless transactions.
The ACR1252U also supports firmware updates after reader installation, eliminating the need to modify additional hardware.
ACR1252U supports three NFC operation modes: card reader/writer, card emulation and peer-to-peer communication. The ACR1252U supports not only Mifare® and ISO 14443 TypeA and TypeB cards, but also all NFC tags and other devices that comply with the ISO/IEC 18092 standard. It provides access speeds of up to 424kbps and has an operating distance of up to 5cm, depending on the type of contactless tag used.
The ACR1252U is both CCID and PC/SC compliant and is a plug-and-play USB device that is interoperable with a variety of devices and applications. ACR1252U is ideal for unconventional marketing and advertising applications like smart posters.
