About This Product

Free Donut is a web through-hole reinforcement method for steel H-beams. Two free donuts reduce the burden during construction and enable economical design. Adopts a unique octagonal ring shape with an integrally molded upright part and outer circumference fillet welding. The unique ring shape ensures the deformability of the beam by suppressing web buckling and effectively reinforces the beam through hole. In addition, reinforcing one side of the web shortens construction time, and fillet welding around the straight line makes welding work easier. The combination of Free Donut Eight and Free Donut Zero enables economical design. Features

■Reducing weight and welding amount

・Free donuts enable effective reinforcement with less welding compared to conventional methods. The ring, which is lighter in proportion to its reinforcement effect, reduces the burden on the installer and contributes to improved work efficiency. ・Free donut eight can be reinforced with a smaller amount of welding by outer fillet welding.

■The performance of the beam through hole part is clear.

・This is a construction method that has received a general rating from the Japan Building Center. ・The perforated section strength is determined based on many full-scale experiments and FEM analysis, making it easy to examine the seismic resistance of beams with through holes.

■Rational equipment design is possible.

The distance from the beam end and beam top, as well as the spacing between through holes, can be reduced, expanding the range in which through holes can be installed to match equipment planning. (Separate strength study and regulation confirmation are required.) *Other product numbers are available.
