General-purpose fluid analysis software developed in C++. Since it was made available for free as open source in 2004, the number of users and developers has continued to increase.

■Product overview

・OpenFOAM is an open source CFD software package. A method for solving continuum equations using the finite volume method on unstructured grids is provided as a C++ class library, and various solvers and tools developed using this library and their tutorial cases are included. ・OpenFOAM is available for free and is useful for CFD research and learning. A library of physical models is provided as source code, and users can add their own models to the library as needed. ・CAE Solutions has been providing support, training, and contract development for this software since the days of commercial software before OpenFOAM.
