About This Product

■Carbon/nitrogen analyzer using combustion method that can collect up to 3g of sample

The 828 series is an organic element analyzer using the combustion method. State-of-the-art hardware and a touchscreen user interface make it easy and efficient to analyze samples for a wide range of applications. Two types are available: the CN828 Carbon/Nitrogen (Protein) Analyzer or the FP828 Nitrogen (Protein) Analyzer. While inheriting the basic principles and performance of the conventional LECO macro-type organic elemental analyzer, we have made further improvements in terms of throughput, downtime reduction, and reliability. The 828 series, which boasts the ability to collect large amounts of samples and a short cycle time of 2.8 minutes, is the best and most suitable instrument for laboratories that analyze a large number of various samples every day, from trace amounts to high concentrations and heterogeneous samples. ・Quartz dual-stage combustion tube with a maximum temperature of 1,050℃ completely burns macro samples in an oxygen stream ・Large porous crucible facilitates combustion of macro samples and reduces maintenance frequency ・The thermal conductivity detector is compatible with both helium and argon carrier gases, and can be switched without replacing hardware. ・Dual sampling loop (adopted in FP828P and CN models) reduces running costs by optimizing according to sample elemental concentration (low/high)

■Low running cost

・The combustion tube does not require filling reagents such as oxidizers, resulting in low cost and low maintenance. ・Moisture removal without using reagents using thermoelectric cooler ・Since a fixed amount of measurement gas is sampled from the ballast tank (aliquot system), consumption of reagents such as reduced copper is constant and minimal, regardless of sample volume, components, carbon content, etc.
