About This Product
Particulate matter sensors include the HPM series laser-based sensors that use light scattering methods to detect and count particles in the concentration range 0 μg/m3 to 1,000 μ/gm3 in a given environment. A laser light source illuminates the particles that have passed through the detection chamber.
When a particle passes through the laser light, it blocks the light source and is recorded by a photosensitive or photodetector. The light is then analyzed and converted into electrical signals to convey the particle size and quantity, and the concentration is calculated in real time. Honeywell particle sensors provide particle concentration information for a given particle concentration range.
