About This Product

■Our cerium oxide abrasive professionals will suggest the most suitable cerium abrasive from our extensive lineup.Outrun handles a wide variety of cerium oxide abrasive materials and manufactures them on an OEM basis. There are a variety of products for Japanese users, ranging from products developed with the cooperation of excellent Chinese manufacturers to products that are sized and fired domestically. All of them are characterized by uniform and sharp abrasive grains that suppress variation in particle size. We also have unique products such as the world's softest cerium abrasive, products with spherical particles, and products that are particular about the crystallite size of the raw material, cerium oxide.
The Chinese products that Outrun handles use refined, high-quality cerium oxide, and are even commercialized in China as abrasive materials. Domestic products are manufactured using the same high-quality cerium oxide as the raw material, from grading to firing. The particle size ranges from 0.9μm to 5.0μm, and the composition ranges from only cerium oxide to mixed materials containing other rare earths. In addition, we can handle items with special hardness and shape for enthusiasts. We sell a wide range of products from industrial use to general consumer use.

■Applications/Examples of resultsWe have accumulated experience in a wide range of industries including major LCD panel manufacturers, semiconductors, optical lenses, quartz parts, and architectural glass. In recent years, it has been widely adopted by house cleaning and car detailing companies.

■IngredientsThe cerium oxide (CeO2) content varies from 50% to over 99% depending on the processing content. In recent years (2022), the rarity of preseodymium (Pr2O3) has been reviewed, and in many cases it is separated from abrasive materials, and only lanthanum (La2O3) is the mainstream as a mixed material. Zirconia mixtures are almost no longer used as cerium continues to be supplied stably.

■Particle sizeAvailable from single nano (particle size less than 10nm) up to 18μm. Please feel free to contact us.

■Particle size distributionParticle sizes can be selected according to user needs, from broad types with a wide particle size distribution, to products with a concentrated particle size in the center, and products with a focus on crystallite size.
