About This Product

■Summary

Just by applying it to the concrete surface, it penetrates deep into the concrete and forms a water absorption prevention layer on the concrete surface. This water absorption prevention layer prevents water from entering concrete structures and protects them from deterioration factors such as salt damage, frost damage, and alkali-aggregate reactions. Aqua Seal 1400 is grade A in all the evaluation criteria of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers, and has excellent concrete protection performance. Furthermore, it has maintained its performance even after 8 years of exposure in Okinawa. Compared to traditional coating methods, this method has a lower initial cost and is more durable, making it possible to reduce LCC (life cycle cost) and help extend the lifespan of concrete structures and preventive maintenance.

■Water absorption prevention layer formation system (high concentration/high impregnation)

Aqua Seal 1400 is a highly viscous, highly concentrated gel-like product that can be applied to vertical surfaces and ceiling surfaces in the required amount in one go. Additionally, during curing, special additives remain on the surface layer, suppressing the scattering of silane components and forming a deeper water absorption prevention layer.

■Applying condition and after drying

Aqua Seal 1400 impregnates in a radial pattern to form an even water absorption prevention layer, so there is no need to worry about slight unevenness in the coating, making it easy to apply.

■Measures against salt damage

Aqua Seal 1400 protects concrete structures by impregnating deeper, suppressing the penetration of water and chloride ions. Even in actual coastal exposure, it suppresses the infiltration of chloride ions (it has the effect of increasing the cover thickness).

■Exhibition of reinforcing steel corrosion inhibition effect

By suppressing water intrusion from the outside and dissipating excess water inside the concrete, it is possible to reduce the amount of water in concrete. In addition, the water absorption prevention layer significantly reduces the diffusion coefficient of chloride ions and also suppresses the intrusion of chloride ions, which are a major cause of corrosion of reinforcing steel, thereby suppressing corrosion of reinforcing steel.
