About This Product

■Summary

Repro Change Coat is a water-soluble rust-converting rust-preventing primer that uses a chemical reaction to convert red rust from reinforcing bars, etc. that cannot be completely removed by scrubbing, into stable black rust and suppresses the progression of rust.

■Packing style

18kg/can, 4kg/plastic container

■Workability

・Since it is a straight type, you can use it as is without diluting it on site. ・Since it is a single material type and easy to handle, it can be used as a protection material for reinforcing bars that are prone to rust after being cleaned.

■Adhesiveness

It has good adhesion with Repro Mortar AZ and does not interfere with adhesion even when used in combination with Repro Rust Prevention Paste.

■Rust resistance

- Suppresses the progress of rust by using a special acid to change red rust (hydrous iron oxide) on reinforcing bars, etc. to black rust (iron tetroxide). -Contains acrylic resin, so even when applied to rust-free reinforcing bars, it forms a film and provides rust prevention effects.

■Standard usage amount

0.1～0.2kg/㎡ Construction procedure

■Kerenko

Remove rust from reinforcing bars, etc. with a wire brush, sander, etc., and remove surface rust and paint film (class 2 scuffing level).

■Application

Apply the standard amount in two doses using a brush, etc. (Approximate application interval: 30 minutes (20℃)) *The surface of the reinforcing steel will turn black or dark purple within a few minutes after application, and after about 30 minutes of drying and curing, it will become touchable.

■Next process

After confirming that it is dry to the touch, apply Repro rust prevention paste or backfill with Repro Mortar AZ.

■Construction precautions

・When storing, avoid direct sunlight, store at 0°C to 40°C, and do not freeze in winter. ・Do not use if frozen. - Stir well before use and use without diluting. ・Avoid construction if rain or snow is expected. ・The drying time to the touch after application varies depending on temperature, humidity, wind, etc. Be sure to check that it is dry to the touch before proceeding to the next step. ・Do not use metal containers for transfer. ・Do not return the remaining liquid to the container after use. - Wash the container and brush used for application with water before drying and curing.
