About This Product

■SummaryRepro rust prevention paste is a rust prevention material for reinforcing bars that have been corroded due to salt damage or carbonation. By kneading a special polymer mixture containing lithium nitrite with cement-based powder, it can be used as a polymer cement paste with high rust prevention properties.

■Packing style15.8kg/plastic container Contents [Powder 3kg x 4 bags/mixture 0.95kg x 4 bottles]

■Workability-Since the mixed liquid and powder are each divided into small portions, it can contribute to reducing the hassle of measuring on-site and material loss.

■Rust resistance・High rust prevention properties are achieved by the effect of cement-derived alkali and nitrite ions that regenerate a passive film on the surface of reinforcing bars.

Construction procedure
■Chiseling-Remove concrete floats, laitance, weak areas, oil, and other deposits around the construction area, and if the reinforcing steel is rusty, clean it with a wire brush, etc.
*If there is a gap between applying this product after cleaning, we recommend applying Repro Change Coat.

■Kneading・Prepare a mixing container (such as a pail) and pour in the repro rust prevention paste (mixture).
*Please stir the mixed liquid well before adding it.
・While stirring with a mixer, add the Repro anti-corrosion paste (powder) little by little and mix for at least 3 minutes to avoid lumps or uneven kneading.

■Application・Use a brush to apply the first layer by rubbing it onto the reinforcing steel surface. (Estimated drying time for 1st layer: 30 minutes (20℃))
*Please dampen the brush you use with water beforehand.
・After it is dry to the touch, apply a second layer to a thickness that leaves the height of the reinforcing bar knots. (Approximate coating thickness: 1mm)
*Please apply carefully so that there is no unpainted area on the back of the reinforcing steel. If you are working on a larger area, you can also use a ricing gun.

■Next process- Perform appropriate curing, such as sheet curing, and confirm that it has hardened before backfilling with cross-section repair material. (Estimated curing time: 1 day (20℃))

■Construction precautions・When storing, avoid direct sunlight and store at 0°C to 40°C.
・Do not use if frozen.
・Do not install if the outside temperature is below 5℃.
・Avoid construction if rain or snow is expected.
- Do not use mixer blades made of aluminum.
