About This Product

■Features

1. Measurement is stable and easy due to the density gradient tube method. 2. We use our standard density sphere, which has a proven track record of over 30 years. 3. We have a complete maintenance system that includes re-verification of standard density spheres, periodic inspections of the device itself (with calibration certificate), etc. 4.High precision measurement (±0.0002 g/cc) is possible. 5. There is a wide range of shapes and types of samples to be measured (individuals such as films, plates, pellets, etc.).

■Applications

1. Density measurement of polymer materials 2. Density measurement of fibers (natural, chemical) 3. Density measurement of resin processed products 4. Density measurement for quality control purposes

■About density gradient liquid

A liquid in which layers of different densities form a continuous liquid column is called a gradient liquid. The liquid column consists of the heaviest density layer at the bottom and the lightest layer at the top, and the gradient is continuous. <How to use> The gradient liquid filled in the cylinder is placed in a constant temperature bath to maintain the liquid column for a long time. Float 5 to 7 standard density spheres at equal intervals in the gradient solution, then float the sample and read the position where the sample stops floating. This concept is based on JIS K-7112-1980 (density gradient tube method). <How to create> ScaleDensity Density 55 0.900 50 0.950 45 1.000Created by mixing a "light liquid" with a light density and a "heavy liquid" with a high density. If a heavy liquid is placed at the bottom of a glass cylinder and light liquids of decreasing density are placed on top of it, a liquid column with a density gradient will be created.

■About standard density sphere (glass float)

A glass bulb with a known density value and an accuracy of ±0.0002 g/cc (for A group). By floating a standard density sphere in a density gradient liquid, its density value is indicated. A certification certificate is attached to the standard density sphere. The certification certificate explains the testing method based on JIS K-0061-1992 (method for measuring the density and specific gravity of chemical products) and the calibration method of the equipment used for testing.
