■Ultra-high precision optical measurement technology

This is a three-dimensional measurement system using a laser radar method that applies "high precision and high speed" distance measurement technology. The measurement accuracy does not depend on the measurement distance, and in the field, it achieves a measurement accuracy of 0.2mm (practical accuracy) at a measurement distance of 500m.

■Measurement principle

Frequency-shifted feedback lasers (FSF lasers) are ultrafast, linear frequency chirp light sources. In other words, in an FSF laser, there is a component whose instantaneous frequency changes (chirps) in proportion to time for each resonator longitudinal mode frequency, and when this is applied to the optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) method, Multiple beat frequencies can be obtained within the resonator longitudinal mode spacing, enabling highly accurate distance measurement. If the frequency chirp light is split into two light waves, a probe light and a reference light, and then combined again with an interferometer optical path difference, and observed with a photodetector, a beat frequency proportional to the optical path difference will be obtained.
