About This Product

KraussMaffei tire extrusion systems have a strong reputation around the world for their world-class extrusion head technology, integrated train lines, and easy-to-operate operating systems. We use Japanese-procured parts for the system's "electrical components" to improve domestic reliability and maintainability, and reduce costs for downstream equipment to meet customer needs. This is one of the world's largest systems in terms of extrusion performance, and four extrusion devices are capable of precisely extruding different types of rubber materials from the heads without any air intake. Complex cross-sections, such as those with chimneys, can be extruded smoothly. We also have a track record of delivering extruders with up to six layers (Hexaplex). KraussMaffei extrusion lines strive for high quality production and high productivity. Different GE-SC or GE-KS extruders are available in series with various screw sizes. Modular design allows for single, duplex, triplex, quadroplex, and quintoplex configurations.

■Product features

KraussMaffei Berstorff's multiplex extruders are of high quality due to the pickerback arrangement and symmetrical flow paths in the head. In addition, the compact design takes space into account. Furthermore, the special flow channel design of the head ensures high satisfaction with quality requirements. Inside the head, the material flows smoothly from the extruder exit round channel into a flat rectangular profile. Additionally, changes in material flow direction within the channel are minimized. All process stages are controlled by a miniaturing system to ensure operational safety. Through outputs of up to 10,000 kg/h or 30,000 PCR tires per day are achieved with these modern extrusion lines.
