About This Product

HMS II.3 ViBRIDGE is a full-band artificial head measurement system that accurately reproduces the ear and is capable of simulating structurally borne (bone conduction) sound. This low-noise ear simulator features the same impedance characteristics as the human ear. The built-in high-sensitivity microphone provides test-class dynamic range. This head and torso simulator has an extremely low inherent noise of 16dBSPL (A), making it ideal for measuring near-ear or in-ear audio and communication devices. With a maximum sound pressure level of 148dBSPL, it is also ideal for measuring transducers used at a distance from the ear, such as hands-free systems, in-car calling systems, and smart speakers. The primary application of HMS II.3 ViBRIDGE is comprehensive testing of state-of-the-art in-ear headsets that utilize bone conduction audio to improve call quality in the outgoing direction. This type of headset can only be properly tested by simulating airborne and structure-borne sound. HMS II.3 ViBRIDGE supports both. HMS II.3 VIBRIDGE fully complies with ITU-T Recommendation P.57. It also meets the low noise requirements specified in Chapter 7. The shape and acoustic characteristics of this head & torso simulator comply with ITU-T recommendation P.58. All anatomical parts of the human structure that affect acoustics are reproduced. HMS II.3 VIBRIDGE can measure both the transmitting and receiving directions. The artificial head's low-noise ear simulator simulates the listening direction, and the 2-way mouth speaker reproduces the full spectrum of human voice, allowing narrowband, wideband, super wideband, and fullband measurements. With HMS II.3 VIBRIDGE, it is possible to collect auditory-accurate voice and audio recording data required for evaluation with the measurement and analysis software ACQUA.
