About This Product

HMS II.3 LN HEC is a full-band dummy head measurement system that anatomically accurately reproduces the human ear. The low-noise artificial ear features an impedance response that is matched to the human ear. Built-in high-sensitivity microphone provides excellent dynamic range. The noise is extremely low at 16dBSPL (A), making it ideal for measuring audio and telephone equipment used near the ear. With a maximum sound pressure level of 148dBSPL, it is ideal for measuring transducers in hands-free systems, in-car call systems, and smart speakers located far from the ears. The shape and acoustic characteristics of the head and torso simulator comply with ITU-T recommendation P.58, and reproduce the human body structure that affects acoustics. HMS II.3 LN HEC is capable of measuring in both the transmitting and receiving directions. The dummy head's low-noise artificial ears simulate listening direction, while the two-way mouth speaker reproduces the full spectrum of the human voice. Therefore, narrowband, wideband, super wideband, and full band measurements are possible. With HMS II.3 LN HEC, it is possible to create voice and audio recording data that is faithful to the sense of hearing for evaluation with the measurement analysis software ACQUA. HMS II.3 LN HEC features a newly introduced module concept. This concept is common to all HEAD acoustics dummy heads in the call and audio test field. In the future, the same dummy head will be able to handle different applications. Quickly and easily replace the artificial ear and pinna to suit the measurement task.
