About This Product

■Summary

HMS II.3 is a full-band dummy head that is ideal for measuring the audio and voice quality of audio and calling devices used near the ear, such as mobile phones, handsets, ANC headphones/headsets, and smart speakers. It is also possible to measure calling devices that are used away from the ear, such as hands-free systems and smart speakers. The shape and acoustic characteristics of the head and torso simulator are designed based on ITU-T recommendation P.58, and reproduce all structures that affect the acoustics of the human body. HMS II.3 supports measurements in the transmit and receive directions. Therefore, it is equipped with a pseudo ear on the right side and a 2-way mouth speaker. Both meet the requirements of ITU-T Recommendations P.57 and P.58. Using HMS II.3, it is possible to create voice/audio recording data that is faithful to the sense of hearing for analysis with the measurement analysis software ACQUA. The pseudo mouse perfectly reproduces the spectrum of the human voice and is capable of narrowband, wideband, super wideband, and fullband measurements. HMS II.3 features a newly introduced module concept. This concept is common to all HEAD acoustics dummy heads in the call and audio test field. In the future, the same dummy head will be able to handle different applications. Quickly and easily replace the artificial ear and pinna to suit the measurement task.

-This dummy head measurement system is ideal for measuring near-ear or far-from-ear audio and calling devices under realistic environmental conditions. - HMS II.3 is ideal for super wideband and full band measurements in the transmit and receive directions. - Binaural recording is possible to evaluate acoustic scenarios faithfully to the sense of hearing. (The optional impedance simulator HIS L is required for the left ear.) ・HMS II.3 complies with all important international standards such as ITU-T Recommendations P.57, P.58 and IEC 60318-4.
