About This Product

■We handle over 300 items of glass bulbs including over 100 types including optical micro ball lenses, soda glass, sapphire, and ceramics.

Ball lenses are available in diameters starting from 0.13mm and can be manufactured to the international standard AFBMA Grade 3. It is used in large quantities as microball lenses in the optical communications field. We make micro ball lenses from materials and then directly coat them (AR coating, etc.). We carry over 70 types of optical glass balls. The coating uses PVD (physical vapor deposition) and CVD (chemical vapor deposition). The mainstream wavelength bands currently used in communications are 830-850nm, 850nm-1,300nm, 1,270nm-1,310nm, and 1,500nm-1,600nm. Ceramic has excellent strength and hardness. ■What is a ruby ball?

The physical properties are almost the same as sapphire spheres. It can withstand most chemicals and even fluorohydrogen gas. It has a smooth, scratch-resistant surface, high compressive strength, and excellent resistance to mechanical corrosion. Because rubies are colored, they are highly visible and easy to handle, so they are used in measuring instruments, check valves, decorations, etc. Grades range from AFBMA standard 5 to 50, and diameters range from 0.15mm to 15.0mm. We also carry ruby hemispheres.
