About This Product

■We handle over 300 items of glass bulbs including over 100 types including optical micro ball lenses, soda glass, sapphire, and ceramics.

Ball lenses are available in diameters starting from 0.13mm and can be manufactured to the international standard AFBMA Grade 3. It is used in large quantities as microball lenses in the optical communications field. We make micro ball lenses from materials and then directly coat them (AR coating, etc.). We carry over 70 types of optical glass balls. The coating uses PVD (physical vapor deposition) and CVD (chemical vapor deposition). The mainstream wavelength bands currently used in communications are 830-850nm, 850nm-1,300nm, 1,270nm-1,310nm, and 1,500nm-1,600nm. Ceramic has excellent strength and hardness.

■Full surface coating of optical ball lenses

They are so small and difficult to handle that they are called micro-spheres, so it takes a high level of skill to coat the entire surface of the ball. Also, since the entire surface is coated, the film thickness is even. The mainstream wavelength bands used in optical communications are 830-850nm, 850-1,300nm, 1,270-1,310nm, and 1,500-1,600nm. Fully coated ball lenses are in stock. The glass materials of AR coated glass balls that have been delivered so far include BK7, LAH78, LASFN35, LASFN9, zirconia, ruby, sapphire, quartz glass, spinel, etc.

■Full surface AR coating on sapphire ball lens

We investigated the actual optical characteristics using a sapphire ball lens without an AR coating (red line) and one with a 100 nm thick MgF2 single-band coating on the entire surface (dark blue curve). Ta.

■Full surface AR coating on BK-7 glass bulb lens

When you want to minimize the reflectance within a certain wavelength range, several layers are required, resulting in a multiband coating. Below is the optical property data of a sample BK-7 glass ball lens with AR coating on the entire surface. The wavelength is 1,200-1,600nm, and the film is made up of 5 layers.
