■VGCORE has three main use cases:- Creation of project files for further processing manually or automatically in volumetric graphics applications.
・Reconstruction of projection data.
・Geometric calibration of CT system.

■ReconfigurationReconfiguration is an important step. All subsequent analysis and visualization depends on the quality of the reconstructed volume dataset. With VGCORE, we offer our customers a complete all-in-one package that pairs a CT scanner with the CT reconstruction capabilities of volume graphics software. Use VGCORE in conjunction with the VGPROJECT SDK to fully integrate CT reconstruction into your system. Automatically reconstruct volumetric data files from projection images taken with a CT scanner and save them as .vgl files or access the reconstructed data on the fly in your own application for further processing.

■Geometric calibrationTo reliably measure and analyze CT data, it is necessary to know the exact dimensions of the scanned volume. These rely on reconstruction software having precise knowledge of the geometry of the acquisition system, which can be influenced by external factors such as temperature and wear. VGCORE allows advanced measurement functions for inspecting scanned calibration objects with known dimensions.

Calibration plans can be set up with VGSTUDIO MAX or VGMETROLOGY's advanced coordinate measurement capabilities. It then becomes a fixed part of the system management software, allowing the long-term viability of CT as an accurate measuring instrument.
