About This Product

We measure the resonance relaxation time in nuclear magnetic resonance and evaluate the particle interface state and dispersion and aggregation state. Anyone can easily obtain data with good reproducibility in a short time. In particular, MagnoMeter is very small and lightweight and does not require space. Even in highly concentrated dispersion systems, measurements can be made in the undiluted state without dilution. It is useful for estimating the appropriate dispersion time using a dispersion machine (by relative comparison of specific surface area), particle wettability, affinity with dispersion medium, screening of dispersants, etc.

■Particle interface evaluation by pulsed NMR

Pulse NMR is a highly sensitive analytical instrument that can quantify slight differences with good reproducibility even in short periods of time by measuring relaxation time. Powder wettability, affinity, and dispersion and aggregation state of densely dispersed samples can be easily quantified.

■Pulse NMR measuring device MagnoMeter Features

・Evaluation of dispersion/aggregation state ・Powder wettability evaluation/interface evaluation ・Evaluation of adsorption characteristics of dispersants, etc. ・Relative comparison of specific surface area ・Determination of dispersion end point ・For calculation of Hansen solubility parameter (HSP)

■Evaluation of concentrated dispersion as is

The reality is that many dispersions and materials before molding in the world are in a concentrated state with particles dispersed at a high concentration, but it is difficult to measure them in their original state. However, if you dilute it and measure it, you will be evaluating something in a different state. Since pulsed NMR uses radio waves instead of light, it is possible to measure black or concentrated samples in their original state without diluting them. Evaluation is possible if the structure of the dispersion medium contains hydrogen nuclei (protons, 1H).

■Intuitively operable software

Automatic acquisition of resonant frequency and pulse length for each measurement No parameters required, high reproducibility achieved with one click NMR has been thought of as a large-scale device that requires specialized knowledge. MagnoMeter allows you to easily obtain the relaxation time of a fine particle dispersion using the following procedure. 1. Transfer the dispersion into an NMR tube 2.Click “START” 3. Relaxation time is obtained. Accurate measurements can be made without any special settings on the software, even with a wide range of relaxation times like dispersions.
