About This Product

■Product overview

The ST series, which is lightweight, compact, and does not require a power supply, is a highly flexible contact angle meter that has no restrictions on sample size, shape, or measurement location due to its upward observation method.

■Product composition

・Standard components: Measuring device, rubber eyepiece, AA batteries, instruction manual ・Optional accessories: Carrying case, calibration tool *Separately, please prepare a micropipette that can create 2μL droplets.

■Product features

Smallest equipment footprint class. Any board size can be selected, from small pieces to large boards. Furthermore, the entire measurement board does not need to be flat, allowing measurements to be made on concave or convex surfaces beyond the device installation surface. Since the power source is only one dry battery for the light source, it can be used for contact angle measurement outdoors and in any field.

・Samples of all shapes and sizes ・Cleaning/surface modification evaluation ・Wetting tension tests using wetting reagents can be used for quantitative evaluation using contact angle values.

■FAQ

Q: How to convert to contact angle value? A: The reading on the scale is the contact angle value. No conversion necessary. Q: What is the correlation with conventional contact angle meters? A: Please refer to the comparison data. Q: What is the required liquid volume accuracy? A: Please select a micropipette with a production accuracy of approximately 5% or less. Q: What if the water droplets are difficult to see depending on the background (board sample) color? A: Please try Wetting Reagent No. 73, which has the same surface tension as water. They may be colored blue or green, making them easier to see. Q: Are there any accessories for calibration? A: As a calibration tool, we have a circular gauge that converts contact angle values ​​(optional). Q: Do you issue calibration certificates? A: When ordering a calibration tool, please also request a calibration certificate (extra charge). Q: Do you perform regular calibrations? A: We do not provide any further support other than when ordering a calibration tool. Please use your own high-level standard machine or contact a specialized vendor.
