About This Product

In recent years, the heat island phenomenon has become a problem in urban areas. One of the causes of this is the application of high solar reflectance paints that reflect sunlight and suppress the rise in building surface temperatures, making a major contribution to countering the heat island effect. White and light colored paints are already on the market, but due to issues such as anti-glare properties, there was a desire to develop a dark colored paint with high solar reflectance. Therefore, we have a lineup of 6 colors and have achieved a solar reflectance of over 60% in dark colors. (Applicable to the Tokyo Metropolitan Heat Island Countermeasures Subsidy Solar reflectance of 50% or more) When used in conjunction with the conventional SL Coat series, it provides excellent heat shielding and insulation properties and high solar reflectance, creating a comfortable living space and excellent energy-saving effects. The highly weather-resistant silicone resin maintains long-term weather resistance, preventing the paint film from deteriorating against UV rays, temperature, rainwater, etc., and protects the material for a long time.

It is a water-based one-component type with formaldehyde content of F☆☆☆☆ level, low odor, non-flammable, and safe.

・Despite the dark colors including black, it exhibits a reflectance of 60% or more (measured value based on JISK5602) in the near-infrared region, which occupies the region related to heat from solar energy. - By combining with the heat shielding and insulation paint SL Coat 2000, it is possible to maximize the heat shielding and insulation performance.

■Mechanism of high solar reflectance paint

The combination of highly functional thermal barrier pigments and functional materials has the effect of suppressing the rise in surface temperature of the object being coated by reflecting solar energy (near infrared region) in the coating film.
