About This Product

■Provides tools to fill holes in point clouds and export/import depth maps

The SCAN2FX Depth Fixer module fills holes in point clouds and provides unique tools to export and import depth maps. SCAN2FX Depth Fixer provides the ability to import mesh structures (with or without textures) as additional point cloud fills or insertions, and can even fill more complex shapes. It is also possible to export Z-depth maps and corresponding color pinhole camera images (for applications such as deep compositing and VFX). Additionally, externally modified color panoramas and depth maps can be re-imported to generate new point clouds.

■Features

Fill surfaces with holes (flat windows, glass, water, mirrors, etc.) using a unique editing depth map workflow. Export depth maps and color panoramas for deep compositing, VFX, VR, and other uses. - Reimport modified color panoramas and depth maps to generate new, modified, or final point clouds. - Export an optional mask to identify holes in depth maps. - Export an optionally normalized depth map with the distance from the selected start point to the end point. - Import OBJ meshes (with or without color textures) as point clouds and add fills and other uses. - When used with the SCAN2FX Mesh Modeler module, the SCAN2FX Depth Fixer allows you to convert faces and primitives to point clouds directly from the SCAN2FX Mesh Modeler menu. That way, you can directly fill the holes with point clouds and get a seamless mesh later. When used with the SCAN2FX Photo Projector module, texturing with SCAN2FX Texture allows you to match high-resolution photos to imported meshes (e.g. from a handheld scanner). When used with one of the SCAN2FX Exporters, it also provides a powerful workflow for 3D painting meshes imported in SCAN2FX using photos.
