About This Product

■Align 2D photos and panoramic images to 3D scenes using a unique method

The SCAN2FX Photo Projector module allows you to estimate camera position from where a photo or panoramic image was taken within the context of a 3D scene loaded into FARO SCENE software. The generated photo projector or camera can be exported using one of the optional SCAN2FX Exporter modules. Then you can project photos onto 3D models as textures or for image-based modeling.

■Features

- Select corresponding points between the 2D photo and 3D point cloud in the 3D view. - Calculate the pose of a 3D camera by specifying camera parameters such as focal length and sensor size. - See the estimated camera position where the photo or panorama was taken within the context of the 3D scene. - Save the calculated SCAN2FX photo projector as part of the SCENE project file.

■System requirements

・FARO SCENE 2019.2.2 ・At least one SCAN2FX Exporter module for projector export ・SCAN2FX Texture for texture The standard SCAN2FX photo projector module alone only generates a photo projector within the SCENE. To export these photo projectors, you must purchase at least one SCAN2FX Exporter module. With the optional SCAN2FX Texture module, photo projectors can also be applied directly to meshes as textures.
