About This Product

■ Texture the mesh based on the panorama scanned with FARO SCENE software

SCAN2FX Texture has advanced texturing options to generate specific masks for each scan (such as the bottom of the scan, distance from the scanner, or occluded areas), allowing you to complete the texture with third-party painting software. You can also make corrections. You can also use a specific color to highlight occluded areas where there is no scan image data, making it easier to paint in more detailed textures later. SCAN2FX Texture generates textures at different resolutions and generates edge padding if necessary to avoid edge artifacts. SCAN2FX Texture automatically generates the overall texture, but the projection of each scan can also be used to individually generate additional texture layers so that you can paint on the specific scan areas you desire.

■Features

SCAN2FX textures use fully panoramic images, allowing you to apply mesh textures even in places where a 3D point cloud is not captured (backgrounds, windows, etc.). - Automatically textures previously generated OBJ meshes (requires UV layout). ・Apply color only in proximity or considering occlusion. - Automatically color highlight occluded areas in your texture based on your mesh and paint over the areas later. - If necessary, calculate component layers to replenish the components of the scan or blend different layers in the paint software. Create an optional mask to identify the missing "bottom" for each scan, the approximate distance of the occlusion site or a specific pixel from the scanner. - If necessary, make color adjustments and balance scans to match the colors of a particular scan.
