About This Product

■Users can create polygons on point clouds

Use SCAN2FX Mesh Modeler to create polygons directly on top of point clouds to fill holes in a mesh or simply recreate parts of a 3D scene. You can also extract the shape of planar surfaces with a variety of proprietary settings and mesh regions of point clouds using the proprietary SCAN2FX algorithm to capture hard edges. The mesh toolset marks each region with different settings to create batch meshes on export.

■Features

・Extrude and bridge polygons. - Measure the surface of a plane and extract the shape. Approximate surfaces and assume straight corners (e.g. to fill in walls with parts missing from scan data) - Extract boxes based on point cloud data. - Extract or place cylinders (handrails, poles, etc.). ・Extract a sphere based on point cloud data. - Calculate plane fittings (e.g. to establish a ground plane). - Extract and sample particle systems for special effects. - Place the locator as a reference point. - Export the result data as Wavefront OBJ. ・SCAN2FX Exporter for Maya: Export faces, certain primitives, locators, and particle systems as native Maya objects.

・FARO SCENE 2018 or higher ・For Maya-specific export, use SCAN2FX Exporter for Maya For Maya-specific exports (not just OBJ), users will need the SCAN2FX Exporter module for Maya.

■License
