About This Product

■Export panoramic scans from FARO SCENE software as projection cameras and shaders in MayaSCAN2FX Exporter for Maya allows you to quickly convert SCENE scan projects to Maya projects for texturing and mesh modification.

■FeaturesTexture the mesh using the projected camera, image backplane, and materials generated by SCAN2FX (e.g. export as OBJ from SCENE to Maya).
-Using Maya's 3D painting toolset, paint textures from various scanned panoramic images onto the mesh.
- Use the variety of materials generated by SCAN2FX Exporter to control how textures are applied, blend textures from different scans (when used with different exposures), and achieve seamless transitions.
- Use Maya's 3D painting toolset to fill in gaps where no texture exists by painting in color channels with the clone brush.
- Fill in holes and retopologize the mesh in Maya while projecting the panoramic scan.

If you have a license for the SCAN2FX Texture module, SCAN2FX Exporter for Maya now features SCAN2FX Texture, allowing you to export textured meshes with materials and layers directly to Maya and contribute to each scan. You can control how the options are applied.

SCAN2FX Texture automatically calculates textures based on different scans in a SCENE and generates an OBJ mesh with UV layout. SCAN2FX Exporter focuses on exporting panoramas and cameras from SCENE for projection painting.
