About This Product

■Summary

This product is equipped with Konica Minolta's proprietary VFS (Virtual Fluorescence Standard) technology, which enables color evaluation that takes into account paper fluorescence*3 under the D50 light source*2, which is the printing industry standard*1. It's a vessel. In addition, with the automatic wavelength calibration function, measurement wavelength correction, which is currently performed during manufacturer maintenance, can be performed at the same time as routine white calibration. *1 Printing industry standard: ISO13655, a color standard for the printing industry, standardizes color evaluation including fluorescence under a D50 light source. *2 D50 light source: An artificial light similar to natural light, used for color measurement. *3 Fluorescence: The property of absorbing ultraviolet rays and emitting light using that energy.

■Supporting color communication in global supply chains

The ambient light measured with the FD-7 reference device can be registered as the lighting light source for the FD-5 regular device via the standard software FD-S1w, making color management easier when using the same lighting light source at multiple locations. It can be achieved at a price. In addition, the automatic wavelength correction function makes it possible to suppress instrumental errors when using multiple units.
