■Summary

・This measuring instrument is a 6-angle multi-angle model spectrophotometer that exhibits outstanding power in automotive exterior measurements. - High accuracy and easy measurement of curved surfaces and small area samples. *Received the 2017 Good Design Award and the 47th Mechanical Design Award.

■Main uses

Color management of automotive exterior parts, paint, and ink

■Adopts a lighting reception optical system with 1 direction illumination and 6 direction light reception.

- By evolving the optical system from the conventional 3 angles to 6 angles and adopting a "double pass" optical system, it is possible to stably measure parts with a strong curvature of around 300 mm. ・Lighting: 45° ・Light reception: -15°, 15°, 25°, 45°, 75°, 110°

■Double pass optical system

By adopting a "double pass optical system" with two illumination and light receiving systems arranged symmetrically with respect to the central axis of the measuring instrument, high stability is achieved even if the colorimeter is tilted during measurement. (It is possible to stably measure objects with a strong curvature of about R300, such as the exterior of door mirrors.)

■Realizes outstanding operability

It has been made smaller and lighter while maintaining high accuracy. It weighs 1.1kg and has a vertical shape, so it can be held stably with one or both hands. In addition, the shape makes it easy to apply to the exterior of a car and makes it easy to check the measurement location. Furthermore, measures to prevent falls (hand strap) and scratch prevention measures (rubber cover) have been adopted to pursue usability at the measurement site.

■Small area measurement possible

Since the measurement diameter is Φ6mm, it is now possible to measure small parts that were previously impossible. *Since the distance between the contact legs is 20 mm on the long side, it may not be possible to maintain a certain level of stability if the sample size is smaller than that.

■Color LCD screen

The main display is equipped with a 3.5-inch color LCD. Equipped with an easy-to-use screen GUI, it provides outstanding operability.
