Femtet is a finite element analysis simulation software that has been improved by Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for about 40 years. It offers designers a comfortable analysis environment with three features that are different from conventional CAE software: ``multifunctionality,'' ``easy operation,'' and ``low cost.''
■Eight analysis functions in one package. Advanced coupled analysis is also possible
Covers a wide range of fields, including electrical analysis of electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields, and electric fields, mechanical analysis of stress, heat conduction, and fluids, as well as piezoelectric and acoustic wave analysis. It also supports multiphysics analysis that combines these analyses. Femtet comes standard with database management functions for materials, boundary conditions, body attributes, and models. By sharing the database, the data created by each individual can be used by the entire development team.
Intuitive and comfortable operating environment
■Modeling (CAD function)
Equipped with simple-to-operate CAD functions, you can model with Femtet. It is also possible to create assembly models. The healing function allows you to detect and correct defects in 3D data. Parasolid format (3D) and DXF format (2D) are standard for importing CAD data. With the addition of options, it is possible to support even more various formats.
■Mesh creation
Femtet automatically generates tetrahedral and hexahedral meshes with a single button. Furthermore, high-quality meshes can be generated with partial mesh size settings, adaptive mesh, sweep mesh, and curved shape tracking functions. Additionally, it is possible to mix free meshes and sweep meshes that do not require node sharing due to bond boundaries.
■CAD translator
Supports import and export of various CAD formats. You can use the CAD data you already have for analysis as is. CAD translator is an additional option.
