About This Product
A light guide plate is an acrylic plate that has been processed so that the surface shines evenly. Diffuses the LED light that enters from the side of the board, making the entire light emitting surface evenly illuminated. Thin, light, and low-cost, they are used in a variety of things and places, such as information display boards, signboards, tracing stands, shelves, and backlights for inspection.

■Lighting mechanism
The light guide plate lets light in from the edges (cross-sectional side) of the acrylic plate. If the board is untreated, most of the light will pass through the opposite side, but the board is printed so that the angle of light reflection changes on the surface. This allows the light to exit the emissive surface evenly or in a gradient. (This is called pattern design.)
Furthermore, by combining materials such as reflective sheets and diffusing materials, you can make the light even brighter and more effective. By placing a sheet (media sheet) with a design printed on the light emitting surface, various expressions such as directions, store menus, photos, etc. can be made.
■Typical configuration example (when using media sheet)
・Reflection sheet: A sheet that reflects light efficiently and allows more light to be emitted from the light emitting surface.
・Light guide plate: 2mm to 10mm thick
・Diffusion material: Sheet or plate material to enhance the diffusion effect
・Media sheet: A sheet with designs and characters printed on it. Usually installed by pasting it on a milk-half plate (milky white acrylic board)
・LED light source: When the distance to the opposite side exceeds 350 mm, we recommend "double-sided lighting" that allows light to enter from the opposite side as well.
・Aluminum channel: U-shaped aluminum rail
