■Piezoelectric strain sensor CST/300: High sensitivity sensor with wide measurement range

The piezoelectric strain sensor CST/300 accurately measures strain over a very wide measuring range up to 300 μm/m. It is extremely sensitive and can capture small strains, such as indirect force measurements in presses and welding systems, or crimping during cable manufacturing. CST/300 can be attached to a structure with a single screw, and there is no need for drilling or other tools. It measures the strain that occurs as a result of a load being applied to the object and outputs the load signal. Calibration allows even highly stiff, low-strain components to provide an output signal that correlates with force with high measurement accuracy. CST/300 can also be directly connected to an isolation amplifier and a sum calculation box, eliminating the need for isolation washers. The CST/300 is compact and ideal for installation in tight spaces. Their robust body, IP65 protection rating and high acceleration resistance make them suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. In addition to piezoelectric force sensors, HBM offers electrical strain sensors and a wide range of strain gauges to meet various requirements for indirect force measurement.
