A reagent for easily evaluating the wettability of material surfaces.

■Easy to understand the differenceIf you apply a test ink to the surface of a material and it splatters into water droplets after 2 to 3 seconds, it means that the surface energy is lower than the value of the test ink. It can be seen that the plasma treatment causes the test ink to wet and spread, increasing its surface energy. Generally, it is said that the higher the surface energy, the better the adhesiveness. Our test inks are fluorescent, so changes in wettability are clearly visible even on dark-colored material surfaces.

■How to use test inkUse the brush attached to the bottle cap to apply one coat to the area you want to measure on the surface of the material. For example, if a test ink of 40 dynes is applied to the surface of a material, and the ink rises in a rounded manner, the surface tension is determined to be lower than 40 dynes. If the ink is flat and spread out, it has a surface tension of 40 dynes or more. In this way, measurements are easy and results are immediately available.
