About This Product

The FLIR X6980 is an ultra-fast midwave IR camera designed for scientists and engineers who need to capture high-speed images for precise thermal analysis and custom radiometry. This thermal imaging camera combines 640 x 512 resolution with an ultra-fast frame rate, allowing researchers to record stopping motions on fast-moving subjects and rapid temperature changes, both in the lab and on the test range. With support for a 4-position motorized filter wheel and FLIR motorized focus lens, the X6980 provides higher quality recordings, saving time and reducing frustration in dynamic acquisition environments.

■High speed, high sensitivity

Capture ultra-low noise, sharply focused, full-resolution 640x512 thermal images at up to 1,004Hz

■On-camera RAM and SSD recording

Store up to 26,000 frames of data directly to on-camera memory or 512 GB SSD for up to 15 minutes

■Multiple software interfaces

Stream infrared data directly to your computer for viewing, recording, and analysis in the FLIR Research Studio

■Imaging and lenses On-camera image storage

RAM (volatile): 16GB, full-frame SSD with up to 26,000 frames (user removable/non-volatile): Approximately 15 minutes of approximately 800Hz recording including 512GB SSD (4TB SSD can be purchased separately for over 2 hours) )
