■Material corn

The variety of corn that is the raw material for our biomass plastic is Dent corn, which is low in fat and protein. Starch made from dent corn is used in large quantities for industrial purposes, primarily as a binder and glue for pulp. This corn is a different variety from the high-fat, high-protein sweet corn that is the raw material for bioethanol, which has caused grain prices to soar in recent years, so the corn is stable in both price and supply.
