■PPS resin that achieves stable price and high performance
Conventional flexible nipples are made of brass, whose main component is approximately 60% copper. While the market price of copper has been rising since 2020, we will achieve "stable prices" through resin products with a fixed unit price. (30% off our product price)
The material is PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) resin. A reinforced resin containing 30% to 40% glass fiber, with excellent wear resistance, flame retardancy, and weather resistance. *Hyper engineering plastic is a high-performance resin that is also used as a substitute for metal parts in automobile engines.
■Insulating effect
EX flexible nipples are made of resin, so they do not conduct electricity and can be insulated. Due to the difference in potential between stainless steel pipes and brass fittings, which are often used in water piping, when water is constantly stagnant, galvanic corrosion, which is contact corrosion between dissimilar metals, can occur, causing water leakage. Even when EX flexible nipples are used in dissimilar metal piping, there is no need to worry about water leakage due to contact corrosion between dissimilar metals, as the resin has an insulating effect.
■Performance evaluation for safe use
Weather resistance test, water hammer test, heat cycle test. Tested many times to confirm safety. We have also obtained certification from the Japan Water Works Association.
