About This Product

A 60MVA class shunt reactor that can be switched between small capacity and large capacity, used for regulating system voltage and absorbing phase-advanced reactive power.

■Features

The shunt reactor, which is inserted in parallel into the grid as a phase-advanced reactive power absorption device, is equipped with LTC, which is used in on-load tap switching transformers, and allows capacity adjustment by switching the taps. This is a reactor. Manufacturable unit capacity: 60MVA

■Space saving, low price

By using a large capacity/small capacity switching shunt reactor, installation space and cost are significantly reduced compared to multiple small capacity reactors.

■Reduction of excitation inrush current

Since the variable capacity type uses the same core for small capacity as for large capacity, core saturation is less likely to occur when power is turned on, and inrush current can be reduced to approximately 60%.

■Low loss

During small capacity operation, the current density in the main winding is extremely low, so the losses are lower than in a normal shunt reactor. In addition, by adopting a delta type yoke core, the weight of the core is reduced and losses are also reduced.
