About This Product

■High withstand voltage performance of 600kV impulse withstand voltage

This is a down conductor specifically designed for buildings and information and communication facilities. The impulse withstand voltage performance is as high as 600kV, and the lightning current that strikes the lightning receiver is quickly grounded without flowing through the tower, reinforcing bars, or steel frame.

■Lightning current flows through metal parts of buildings and induces abnormal voltage.

In recent buildings, it has been approved to use metal parts such as reinforcing bars and steel frames as the down conductor for lightning receivers (JIS A4201), and there are cases where down conductors are not used in buildings. Additionally, when using down conductors insulated from buildings, the induced voltage generated by lightning current may destroy the air insulation between the down conductors and the building (side flash). In either case, lightning current flows through the metal parts of the building, inducing abnormal voltages in power cables or communication cables that are laid parallel to these metal parts, which can cause destruction or malfunction of electronic equipment.
