About This Product
■Summary
The ASG series is used in combination with an ASG-SPD unit with fault indication and a dedicated power supply unit/alarm unit (and surge counter unit). This is an SPD failure monitoring system that transmits the SPD failure status from the SPD installation location (on-site) to a remote monitoring system.
■Fault display function
By connecting the dedicated power supply unit and alarm unit, the SPD failure status can be displayed on the front LED lamp. Additionally, faults can be output via contact and can be sent to a distant monitoring system.
■Excellent protection circuit mechanism
We offer protection circuit types suitable for the circuits to be protected (communications, signals, instrumentation, etc.). In addition, the fault contact output circuit and power input circuit (alarm unit) are equipped with protection circuits as standard, so there is no need to install a separate SPD for the alarm circuit or SPD for the power circuit.
■Complete range of anti-ground noise countermeasure products
ASZ-Z series (noise-resistant connection) and ASG-HF type are available as anti-ground noise countermeasure products.
■Features
・The number of protection fibers per SPD is large, contributing to space saving (4 to 5 cores)
・Compliant with JISC5381-21 categories C2 and D1
- Standard protection circuit for relay contacts and control signals, suitable for control signals up to 2A.
- There is a lineup for various circuit voltages, allowing you to select the most suitable SPD for your circuit.
- Has excellent protection performance between ground and lines.
・Since there is no line resistance, it is also suitable for protecting instrumentation systems.
・Equipped with a terminal for cable shield (sheath), and the shield can be grounded via GDT. In addition, if high frequency noise such as inverter noise is occurring between the line and the ground, you can take measures to prevent the noise from entering the line by changing the connection method of the ground terminal (for details, see the specifications and instruction manual). (Please refer to the noise-proof connection method in the book).
■Notes
・If the withstand voltage to ground of the equipment to be protected is low (e.g. there is a weak voltage withstand circuit such as a semiconductor between the equipment and the ground), use a normal connection, and if there is a risk of the SPD malfunctioning due to noise to the ground, use a noise resistant connection. Make the connection.
- When making noise-resistant connections with ASG-Z350S, the signal voltage should be 140V AC or less. (Noise-resistant connection is not possible when used at AC200V.)
