About This Product

■Ideal for lightning and heat protection. Connection box to prevent burnout of PV power generation system

This is a junction box that has a built-in SPD for PV such as the ADN series and an SPD separator, and when the SPD fails on the short circuit side, it is reliably disconnected from the DC line and prevents burnout of the PV system or fire. It has additional functions not found in general "junction boxes", such as SIT-compatible safety shutoff technology, writing lightning protection level values ​​in specifications, and suppressing temperature rise inside the junction box with a dedicated heat sink. We also have a lineup of thin, shadow-resistant models for water PV use.

■Safety shutoff technology compatible with SIT

By clarifying and overlapping the cut-off areas of the PV SPD and external SPD separator, we have adopted Showen's proprietary separation mechanism technology "SITS®" which enables short-circuit current cut-off in all areas.

■Supports lightning and heat countermeasures

The protection level against lightning surge penetration has been strengthened, and the lightning protection level value has been included in the specifications. In addition, a dedicated heat sink suppresses temperature rise inside the junction box.

■Compatible with PLC string monitoring system (optional)

Trouble with solar cell modules directly leads to loss of electricity sales revenue, so a quick solution is required, but it is difficult to identify the problem system from PCS monitoring. Showen's junction box can be optionally equipped with a "PLC string monitoring system" that uses PLC technology to transmit information such as power generation voltage for each system using DC power lines. Since communication lines and AC power lines are not required, retrofitting to existing systems is easy, and installation is simple and low-cost.
