About This Product
■New SPD that uses safety shutoff technologies “SIT” and “SITS®”
The AGN-4 series uses the latest safety technologies SIT and SITS®, and can cut off short-circuit current of up to 150A in the event of an SPD failure.By connecting a dedicated SPD separator, the short-circuit current of the circuit can be cut off up to 150A. It is possible to safely interrupt short-circuit currents in all areas up to.
■Can also be connected to the primary side of an earth leakage breaker
Annex K of JIS C 5381-12:2014 stipulates that in TT systems (including Japanese power distribution systems), when connecting an SPD to the primary side of an earth leakage breaker, a voltage switching element such as a spark gap, GDT, etc. It is described that it is implemented. The AGN-4 series can be connected to the primary side of an earth leakage breaker without any problems by mounting a GDT (gas-filled discharge tube) between N and E.
■Model names that include specified SPD separators as a set have also been added.
The old standard JIS C 5381-1 did not require safety in the event of an SPD short-circuit failure, so 50AF/50AT MCCBs have been mainly used for SPD separators. On the other hand, the new standard JIS C 5381-11 requires testing for safety in the event of SPD failure in combination with the SPD separator specified by the manufacturer. Therefore, when using an SPD that complies with JIS C 5381-11, it is necessary to connect the specified SPD separator.
This time, we have added a model name that includes a specified SPD separator as a set. This set model name with the SPD separator eliminates mistakes in SPD separator selection and allows safer use.
■Plug-in type with high maintainability
This is a plug-in type consisting of an SPD plug and a base. Equipped with a mechanism to prevent incorrect insertion of the SPD plug and a mechanism to prevent it from coming off, improving reliability.
■Failure display and alarm contacts linked to the thermal separator built into the SPD
The fault display and alarm contacts are mechanical and operate in conjunction with the thermal separator built into the SPD. The fault display is green when normal and black when faulty. The alarm contact is output from the alarm contact terminal (ALM), and the A contact output is output between c and a (when normal: OPEN, when there is a failure and when the SPD body (plug) is not installed: CLOSE), and the b contact output is between b and c (when normal: CLOSE, OPEN when there is a failure or when the SPD main body (plug) is not installed).
