About This Product

This is a unique and novel flow control valve that enables flow control over a 100,000 times wider range. ■Ultra wide range A wide flow range can be adjusted with one valve. In the case of pure water, the flow rate can be adjusted over a range of approximately 200,000 times, from 0.01mL/min to 2.1L/min at a supply pressure of 100kPa. Ideal for situations where conditions are difficult to predict, such as experiments and production technology development. Conventional valves for small flow rates have an adjustment range of about 10-20 times. Even a general valve with a large flow rate has a flow rate of about 100 times. The Super Needle literally has an "extraordinarily wide" range of adjustment. ■Super fine adjustment You can smoothly adjust the flow rate in any basin over the entire adjustment range. The rate of change in flow rate is nearly constant from very small flow rates to large flow rates. Since the rate of change in flow rate in response to valve operation is almost constant, fine adjustment of flow rate is possible in any basin. ■Ultra small flow rate Allows fine adjustment of extremely small flow rates. In the case of pure water, the supply pressure can be adjusted to approximately 1μL/min (0.001mL/min) at a supply pressure of 10kPa. ■Material in contact with fluid The valve body is made of PTFE, so it can be used with various fluids (gas and liquid). You can choose Viton or Perflo O-ring. There are also models that are compatible with valve disassembly, cleaning, and autoclaving, so they can be used in medical and bio-related fields. ■It has a completely different structure from conventional needle valves. In a superneedle, liquid flows through a spiral groove with an equilateral triangular cross section. As the valve is opened, the depth of this equilateral triangular groove increases geometrically. If the groove depth increases by 10 times, the flow rate in laminar flow will theoretically increase by 10,000 times. Conventional needle valves come in many varieties to cover their narrow range, and great care is required when selecting a valve. Furthermore, in order to significantly change the flow rate, it is necessary to replace the valve, which takes cost, time, and effort. By using the Super Needle, you are freed from these restrictions and can control the flow rate more freely. The ability to easily set different flow rates opens up possibilities for better development results. *Other model numbers are available.
