About This Product

■Summary

This optical system is used in conjunction with FTIR to measure the transmittance of hollow fibers that transmit mid-infrared light. The infrared light from the FTIR body is efficiently introduced through the CaF2 lens, and the infrared light transmitted through the fiber is efficiently focused on the MCT detector using the second CaF2 lens for measurement. By measuring the intensity of infrared light transmitted through fibers of different lengths, the transmittance per unit length can be determined. Furthermore, it is possible to determine the decrease in transmittance due to bending the fiber.
