This device uses near-infrared spectroscopy to easily measure the chloride ion concentration in concrete structures in salt-damaged environments on the spot in a short time*. *In the conventional JCI method and JIS method, chemical analysis using chemicals is performed by a specialized analytical laboratory, but it takes about a week from sample collection to obtaining results. We use a two-branch type near-infrared compatible fiber with an optimized branching ratio. The sample side probe has an adjuster that adjusts the distance from the sample surface and protects the fiber end face.

■Summary

This system is a portable concrete deterioration measurement device designed to investigate the deterioration state of concrete structures outdoors. The extent of concrete deterioration can be investigated by drilling holes in the structure being inspected and measuring the spectrum in the near-infrared region using an optical fiber probe. The battery power allows for easy portability, and the light source, spectrometer, power supply, etc. are housed in one housing. Spectrum measurement and data processing are performed on a notebook PC, and principal component analysis allows you to obtain information such as salinity concentration.
