About This Product
■Summary
Fluorine gas (F2) is infrared inactive because it is a homonuclear diatomic molecule. Therefore, absorption in the ultraviolet region (around 280 nm) is used for identification and quantitative analysis of fluorine gas. Additionally, fluorine gas is corrosive and highly dangerous, so a special gas cell is required for measurement.
■Features
The fluorine gas cell body is made of nickel, and the window plate is CaF2 (calcium fluoride). To enable in-line measurement, light can be introduced and extracted using a fiber. The light from the gas cell can be introduced into a small spectrometer and its spectrum can be measured. A heater is installed for cleaning, so measurements can always be taken in a clean state.
