This product solves the problems of conventional stuffing box type valves. This is a new stuffing box type valve with high sealing performance.
Features
◼︎Seal is complete
Rotating torque is converted into tightening force, which tightens the packing from the internal fluid side and reliably reduces fluid pressure, completely stopping leaks.
◼︎Strong durability
The upper secondary packing chamber has the same structure as the packing chamber of conventional valves, and as there is almost no fluid penetration into the secondary packing chamber, deterioration is unlikely to occur and the service life is long.
◼︎Easy to maintain
Since the gland packing is a substitute for the back seat, if necessary, the secondary packing can be safely replaced even if the valve opening is at an intermediate position, making maintenance easy.
◼︎Easy opening/closing operation
The gland packing is tightened using the lead of the screw, and has a structure that prevents the stem from being unevenly distributed due to uneven tightening. For this reason, turning the handle is much easier than with conventional valves.
◼︎Handling precautions
・The features of the "Twin Pack valve" cannot be achieved with valves that cannot be fully opened during equipment operation. Tighten the packing when the equipment is stopped, such as during regular repairs.
- An explanation board for tightening operations is attached to the yoke of each Twin Pack valve.
- If leakage is detected from the gland part during equipment operation, tighten it and confirm that the leakage has stopped, then retighten or replace the secondary gland packing.
・When tightening the gate valve, do not turn lever ③ to the left (turn clockwise to tighten the packing) after completing the tightening of the primary side packing. If you turn it counterclockwise, the clutch screw will return and the packing will loosen. After tightening the packing, leave the lever ③ as is and lock the lock nut ①.
- When tightening globe valves and forged valves, do not use a handle turner (will key) to fully open these valves. If you turn the handle, you won't be able to feel when it's fully opened, and you'll end up over-tightening the primary gasket.
・To replace the primary side packing, a tool is required to loosen the tightening fittings.
