■Advantages of dome lighting + coaxial lightingDome lighting has very different characteristics from other lighting. As the name suggests, it reflects the light onto the dome top plate and irradiates the light evenly. The biggest advantage of this effect is that it makes it difficult for shadows to appear on uneven surfaces of the workpiece. By eliminating the shadows of uneven parts of the workpiece, it is possible to clearly express the color changes of dirt, markers, etc.

However, depending on the work size and camera field of view, the shadow of the viewing window on the top plate may have an effect. Therefore, coaxial lighting is required to eliminate shadows from the viewing window. Shimatec's coaxial dome allows for independent dimming and lighting control of the edge direction, top plate direction, and coaxial direction, allowing detailed separation of customer's workpieces.
