About This Product
■Summary
Frequency: 187.275 ~ 196.275THz (9THz). This is an optical filter that can independently control the intensity, phase, and group delay of the C/L/S band optical spectrum with a high degree of freedom. Since it is constructed based on LCoS (Liquid crystal on silicon), it has no moving parts and is stable and robust.
■Features
・Industry-only arbitrary waveform shaping function (multiple arbitrary shape filters can be set at the same time with a filter bandwidth of 10 GHz)
・Attenuation (range 0-35dB) and phase can be controlled independently
・A wide range of lineup by operating frequency band (S-band, C-band, L-band, C+L-band, extended L-band, 1um)
・Constructed with high-resolution LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology, stable and robust with no moving parts
・Supports multi-port configuration (1×4, 1×19, 4×16, 8×12, 10×10)
・Supports remote control via Ethernet connection
■Applications
・Level equivalence control, phase/dispersion control, optical spectrum control, light source generation for wavelength division multiplexing communication light
・Generation of photon pairs by excitation light pulse shaping and frequency multiplexing during single photon signal frequency conversion in quantum communication
・Pulse compression and pulse shape control by wavelength dispersion control of short pulse lasers
・Wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing (MUX/DEMUX), De-/Interleaving
■ Technical support
・Product explanations, demonstration support, experiment support, and training services provided by our technical department engineers who are familiar with the products.
・Support for our original software that maximizes the potential of WaveShaper
・WaveShaper repair support (replacement/repair of power supply system, fan, fiber end face, etc.)
■ Operating principle
WaveShaper's arbitrary waveform shaping function is realized using a diffraction grating and LCoS. The input light source is wavelength-resolved by a diffraction grating and illuminates each pixel of the LCoS for each wavelength. The LCoS-steering (direction-controlled reflection) light is coupled into an output fiber.
Light intensity is controlled by controlling the coupling rate when the light enters the output fiber. Phase (group delay) control is achieved by controlling the LCoS-steering beam path.
