About This Product

PTFE bellows manufactured by SGL are designed for long stretch life in a wide range of applications in the high temperature and high purity chemical process industry. Bellows are used in piping to absorb vibrations caused by equipment and thermal expansion and contraction of piping, and to protect process equipment that is sensitive to stress (glass, glass-lined steel, FRP, graphite, dual laminate, etc.). PTFE is an ideal material for bellows because of its corrosion resistance to almost all fluids, low spring rate, and long expansion life. We have products with sizes from 0 to 6, so you can choose the most suitable bellows depending on the operating temperature, pressure, etc. Flange hole machining complies with JIS and ANSI.

■Features and options

Dr. Schnabel's bellows feature anti-compression properties that prevent over-compression damage to POLYFLURON PTFE folds when the piping material is insufficiently supported. It has vacuum resistance. We can also accommodate flanges and drilled holes other than standard specifications. We also handle stainless steel flange materials and J-bolt flanges that comply with various standards. Bellows with reducing flange can also be provided.

■Length direction/misalignment/bending movement

Depending on your requirements, we can supply them with tie rods designed to limit the range of motion. Dr. Schnabel also has misaligned and bent (hinged) bellows.
